Meet Ashley: Hello! I am Ashley Allen, a Licensed Master of Social Work. I completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology and my graduate degree in Social Work at Brigham Young University. I have been working with children and teens since 2014 and practicing psychotherapy since 2019.
My Therapy Interests:
I enjoy working with tweens ages 11+, teens ages 14+, and adults experiencing challenges with:
- anxiety and depression
- self-esteem and shame
- self-identity development
- trauma recovery
- family related conflict
I have a particular interest in working with those healing from trauma, and helping people discover themselves and form their identity. I am LGBTQ+ affirmative and welcome clients from all cultural backgrounds and identities.
What drew me to this work: I believe that everyone has an innate capacity to change, grow, and improve by using the strengths and abilities that are unique to each of them. I want to help empower people to discover their inner strength and then take the leap towards positive change for themselves. All life experiences shape the way the brain and body interact, and traumatic ones especially can leave people feeling stuck and overwhelmed. I want to create a safe space where you can process your experiences and learn to understand your behavior and thought patterns.
My style: Client centered, non-judgmental, warm, and strengths based
Services I offer: Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy
Ashley accepts Blue Cross/Blue Shield (Anthem, Carefirst, Highmark), Cigna.
